‘Sheear’ Japan’s ‘Number 1’ (Irish Music Magazine)
My album has been stocked in Tambourine Music, a Celtic music specialist shop in Japan, since it was released in February this year. It was great to see ‘Sheear’ listed as number one in Japan’s ‘Top 10’ in the June edition of the Irish Music Magazine! Though the CD was actually released under my own label ‘Purt Sheearan Records’, I did receive support from Culture Vannin and couldn’t have released it without them.
Tambourine Music submit a list of the most popular Celtic music CDs in Japan to the magazine each month and the top 10 albums in Chicago (USA), Scotland, London and a variety of cities in Ireland are also listed.
