Airplay on BBC Radio 3 on 11th October
Excitingly, two songs from my upcoming album were broadcast on ‘World on 3’ last night (11th Oct). Mary Ann Kennedy chose to play ‘Roish my row flaunys er ny chroo’ (Before the heavens were created) and ‘Graih foalsey’ (False love) on her programme: the first public broadcast of any of my solo material! If you had peeped through the keyhole to my door last night, you would have seen me cradling a cup of tea and sitting by the radio as though it were a crackling log fire. Mary Ann played a beautiful selection of music – I particularly enjoyed the live session by singer Natacha Atlas, and a track from guitarist Ron Block – and I was delighted to hear my music next to such prolific artists.
